This exceptional exhibition, titled "Collective Imagination // Imaginación Colectiva," took place within the prestigious setting of the Zona Maco international fair. It was designed to spotlight innovative artistic practices that look toward the future by breaking away from the myths and societal traditions that preserve existing power structures, hindering progress. The artists featured in this collective exhibition embarked on a journey to challenge the boundaries of our society by reimagining everyday images and objects, imbuing them with new meanings. Their goal is to provoke deep reflection, fostering fresh perspectives and stimulating a unique collective imagination.
Through their bold exploration of diverse themes and unconventional materials, these ten visionary artists have meticulously sculpted a profound mirror that captures the essence of our intricate contemporary society. By urging viewers to challenge the status quo and embrace fresh perspectives, they not only spark innovative visions of the world but also ignite a powerful call to action. Their transformative influence extends beyond art, weaving into the fabric of society, encouraging profound societal shifts and fostering an inclusive, empathetic future where creativity and understanding reign supreme. In doing so, they lay the foundation for a vibrant, promising artistic and social landscape, where diverse voices harmonize, and collective progress becomes an enduring legacy, inspiring generations to come.

"JO-HS is a residency space and art consulting firm founded by Elisabeth Johs in a serpentine building with airy openings lending natural light to a group show entitled “Collective Imagination.” Of the show’s title and space itself, Johs affirmed that “it takes a collective to have a collective imagination,” and the work from artists like Floria González, Pedro Assam, Neil Hamamoto, and Julien Heintz demonstrates this communal spirit."
