BIOGRAPHY
Emma Passera’s practice first stuns the viewer with the idea of what is beautiful. In her work, the woman is an entity that is not reduced to her physicality and that circulates freely in the exhibition space.
In the solo exhibition of the artist She Fixed Her Heels With Glue, the high priestess that Emma Passera puts in object has shaped her crown in the garden and under her nimbus of femininity has gone to remove her clothes that in an exalted choreography have tried to join the skies, like a light soul.
On the square, she took off her high heels on a tray made of glass and mirror. On a broken cupboard, lying on the floor, she rested her crown on a cushion and removed her rings before going to swing on a swing. She will finish her walk in the river to clean her eggs. This intimate story is told through bas-reliefs made of metal, glass, porcelain, butterflies, but also rusty nails.
