Victoire Inchauspé

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1998, Victoire Inchauspé is a French artist who graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2022. She is the winner of the Sarr Prize in 2021 and a finalist for the Sam Art 2023 Prize in association with the Palais de Tokyo. Victoire Inchauspé’s artistic practice is multidisciplinary, she is interested in both interpreting her own memories and offering an experience of her own. Nature plays an important role in her installations, whether in animal or plant form, and the artist uses its symbols as a matrix for memories. We often find a form of balance between the ephemeral and the timeless thanks to the use of elements taken directly from nature such as water, flowers, seeds, and deer antlers, which she counterbalances with materials from the world of industrialisation such as metal, bronze, and wax. Through her works, Victoire Inchauspé seeks to question the beauty and fragility of life.
